Pietro D'Amelio. Pittore, Scultore, grafico e scenografo. Nato a Ginosa nel 1947. Nel 1969 esordisce all'attenzione del pubblico e della critica. Nel successivo trentennio, e ancora oggi, è un continuo ed inarrestabile susseguirsi di presenze ricche di esperienze e di ricercatezze. Tutto ciò che è materia lo attrae, lo coinvolge fino ad esasperarlo in maniera quasi frenetica. L'attenzione accurata al sociale e all'ambiente lo promuovono a iniziative che tendono a sottolineare la necessità di salvaguardare questo patrimonio umano in via di depauperazione. Ha partecipato a manifestazioni internazionali e in varie edizioni di Expoarte. Hanno scritto di lui vari critici tra cui Dedalo Decio. In permanenza presso la "Blue Section eventi d'Arte".

In the successive thirties years, and still today, he is continuous and an unstoppable one to ollow itself of rich presences of experiences and searches of the new one. All that that is matter attracts it, is involved it until exasperating it in nearly phrenetic way.The attention taken care of to the social one and the atmosphere promotes it to initiatives that stretch to emphasize the necessity to always safeguard this human patrimony that comes destroyed every day and more.
